It is possible that this [tābūt] was a box containing a talismanic seal of the sort that would bring victory to the [king's] army, and other such royal talismans as are mentioned. It seems that it contained an image with a half human half feline head with a tail like a cat's, similar to the one that existed during the reign of Fereydun, called Darafsh-e Kaviyan.
