* تفسير Tanwîr al-Miqbâs min Tafsîr Ibn ‘Abbâs

{ وَٱسْتَفْتَحُواْ وَخَابَ كُلُّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ }

(And they sought help) each people sought help against their prophet (and every froward) who turns away from the Truth and guidance (potentate) deceitful, arrogant person (was brought to naught) they got no help when they requested it;
